The Range Training Courses

Training is important no matter how long you’ve been a shooter. If you are new to the sport of shooting, learning proper grip, the right foot positioning, and how to properly lean into the shot are critical for your success. If you have been shooting for years you need to practice to avoid falling into any bad habits, you can pick up over time.

Our trainers can help you learn the basics and help keep your skills in check. Our trainers are certified with the USCCA (United States Conceal Carry Association) and/or the NRA (National Rifle Association) which means they have spent years training in the sport of shooting. Some of our trainers are active-duty military or law enforcement and their goal is for you to become an accurate shooter and do that safely.

  • All weapons MUST BE holstered or stored in a bag while in The Range. You may NOT unholster your firearm or take it out of your bag until you are safely in the live fire range.

  • Up to 24 hours prior to the class start time, you can reschedule to a different date and time.
  • After the class starts, you will be charged a $25 instructor fee to move the class to a different date and time. You have 1 week to move the class. Otherwise, you will not be eligible for either a refund or to move the class.

When Should I Start Training?

Training should start before you put a firearm in your hand. Knowing the 4 rules of handling a firearm is mandatory. Once you know these rules, you will be ready to learn why so many enjoy the sport of shooting.

4 PRIMARY RULES OF FIREARM SAFETY

  1. Always Keep Firearm Pointed in a Safe direction.
  2. Treat All Firearms as Though They are Loaded.
  3. Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger until You are Ready to Shoot.
  4. Always Be Sure of Your Target and What’s Beyond It.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

When the parents feel they are responsible enough to properly and safely handle a firearm is the right time. Thom was 8 years old when he took his first shot with a .22.

WHERE DO I BEGIN?

Take a look at our classes and don’t be shy about starting from the beginning. In fact, we encourage you to do so.
